Privacy Policy
Global Caribbeans ("Global Caribbeans," "the Site") is a remote job board and career-tools platform operated by Careevo Limited ("Careevo," "we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in Jamaica. For the purposes of Jamaica's Data Protection Act, 2020, Careevo Limited is the data controller for the information described in this policy.

1. What this policy covers
This policy covers the Global Caribbeans website (globalcaribbeans.com), including the job board, the report a listing feature, the Resume Bank, and the career tools that generate documents for you. Those tools include the Job Alignment Report and the Career Kit, and the Career Kit includes the Career Alignment Report, the Master Resume, the Cover Letter, the LinkedIn Optimization, and the Introduction Audio Script. By using the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy and to our Terms of Service.
2. Information we collect
You do not need an account to browse the job board. We collect the following:
a. Technical and analytics information (collected automatically). When you visit, we and our analytics provider collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the links you click, and general usage activity. We use Google Analytics for this (see Section 12).
b. Information you send when you report a listing. If you use the report a listing feature, we collect the reason you select and any optional notes you add, together with the job the report relates to.
c. Information you provide to use the career tools and the Career Kit. To generate your documents, you provide your resume, the details of the job or roles you are targeting, answers to a short set of personal questions (used so your LinkedIn copy and introduction script sound like you), and an email address so we can deliver your documents. This information may include your name, contact details, work history, and the personal background you choose to share.
d. Documents generated for you. We store the documents produced for you (such as your Job Alignment Report, Career Alignment Report, Master Resume, Cover Letter, LinkedIn content, and Introduction Audio Script), along with a record of your purchases and usage.
e. Purchase information. When you buy the Career Kit or additional tool usage, payment is handled by our third-party payment provider. We receive confirmation of your purchase (such as the product, amount, status, and a payment reference), but we do not collect or store your full card or banking details.
f. Resume Bank. The Resume Bank shows real but anonymized example resumes for study. We do not collect any information from you when you browse it.
3. How we use your information
We use this information to operate and improve the Site, to review reported listings, to generate and deliver the documents you request, to manage your purchases and usage, to run the Second Priority recruiter-referral list described in Section 5 (unless you opt out), to keep the Site secure and prevent abuse, and to comply with our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
4. How we use AI (and what we will not do)
Every tool on Global Caribbeans that generates a document or report uses your information with AI only to generate that specific document, and for no other purpose. This applies to all of them, including the Job Alignment Report, the Career Alignment Report, the Master Resume, the Cover Letter, the LinkedIn Optimization, and the Introduction Audio Script. To create a document, the information needed for it is sent to our AI provider, OpenAI, through its business API, solely to produce that document.
Our commitments:
- We do not use your personal information to train AI models.
- Our AI provider (OpenAI) states that, by default, it does not use data submitted through its business API to train its models.
- We do not use your information generated by one tool to feed an unrelated purpose. Each tool uses your information only for its own document.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

5. Recruiter referrals and the Second Priority list
When you purchase the Career Kit, you are added to our Second Priority recommendation list as one of the benefits of the Kit, and by purchasing you give us your permission to share your information with recruiters on the terms below. This is how it works:
- When a recruiter approaches us looking for candidates for a specific role, we may review our talent base to see who fits.
- We share your information with a recruiter only after our own internal check confirms you are a strong match for that specific role, meaning you have a high likelihood of being invited to an interview.
- What we may share is the information a recruiter needs to consider you, such as your career documents (for example your resume and LinkedIn content), your contact details, and a summary of why you match the role.
- We do not sell your information, and we do not broadcast it to every recruiter. We share it selectively, only for genuine matches.
- We require each recruiter to agree to limits on how long they may keep your information and on the purpose for which they may use it (contacting you about that opportunity).
- Recruiters may be located outside Jamaica, so this may involve an international transfer of your information.
6. Our legal basis (Jamaica Data Protection Act, 2020)
We process information on these bases: performance of a contract (to deliver the tools, the Career Kit, and the documents you request); your consent (for example, when you request a document, and when you join the Second Priority list by purchasing the Career Kit, which you can withdraw at any time); our legitimate interests (to run, secure, and improve the Site); and legal obligation (where the law requires it).
7. Who we share information with
We share information only with trusted providers that help us run the Site, and, for the Second Priority list, with matched recruiters as described in Section 5. Each provider is bound by confidentiality obligations and permitted to use your information only to provide their service to us:

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, in which case we will notify you.
8. International data transfers
Our providers, and any recruiter we share your information with under Section 5, may store or process information on servers or in locations outside Jamaica, including in the United States and elsewhere. Where information is transferred across borders, we take steps intended to keep it protected consistent with this policy and applicable law.
9. How long we keep information
When we generate documents for you, we (Careevo Limited, operating Global Caribbeans) keep those documents and the information used to create them on file for up to five (5) years. We may keep them for a shorter period, and we may delete them before five years. You can ask us to delete your documents and information at any time by contacting [email protected], and we will do so unless we are legally required to keep certain records. Reported-listing information is kept for as long as needed to review it, purchase records are kept as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes, and basic technical and analytics logs are kept for a limited period.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect information, including access controls on our database and secure delivery of your documents. No system is completely secure, so please keep any private link to your documents confidential.
11. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to opt out of recruiter sharing, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To make a request, contact [email protected] (or [email protected] to opt out of recruiter sharing). If you are in Jamaica and believe we have mishandled your information, you may contact the Office of the Information Commissioner (oic.gov.jm). If you are in the EU, UK, or California, additional rights may apply; contact us and we will honor the rights that apply to you.
12. Cookies and analytics
The Site uses essential cookies needed to make it work, and analytics cookies through Google Analytics, a service provided by Google. Google Analytics collects information such as your IP address, device and browser details, and how you use the Site, and it uses cookies and similar technologies to do so. This helps us understand traffic and improve the Site. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
13. Children
The Site is intended for adults seeking career opportunities and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, post a notice on the Site. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
