Global Caribbeans ("Global Caribbeans," "the Site") is a remote job board operated by Careevo Limited ("Careevo," "we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in Jamaica. For the purposes of Jamaica's Data Protection Act, 2020, Careevo Limited is the data controller for the information described in this policy.

1. What this policy covers
This policy covers the Global Caribbeans website (globalcaribbeans.com), including the job board, the report a listing feature, the Job Alignment Report tool, and the Resume Bank. Other paid career services (such as career alignment, resume revamp, LinkedIn optimization, and introduction audio scripts) are provided separately by Careevo through careevo.co and are governed by the terms and privacy notice published there.
By using the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy and to our Terms of Service.
2. Information we collect
You do not need an account to browse the job board. We collect the following:
a. Technical and analytics information (collected automatically). When you visit, we and our analytics provider collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the links you click, and general usage activity. We use Google Analytics for this (see Section 11).
b. Information you send when you report a listing. If you use the report a listing feature, we collect the reason you select and any optional notes you add, together with the job the report relates to. Please do not include sensitive personal information in the notes unless it is necessary for your report.
c. Information you provide for a Job Alignment Report. When you request a Job Alignment Report, you provide your resume and the details of the job you want to be matched against, and an email address so we can deliver your report and manage your monthly free allowance and any purchases. Your resume and inputs may contain your name, contact details, and work history.
d. Purchase information. When you buy additional Job Alignment Report usage, payment is handled by our third-party payment provider. We receive confirmation of your purchase (such as the product, amount, status, and a payment reference), but we do not collect or store your full card or banking details.
e. Resume Bank. The Resume Bank shows real but anonymized example resumes for study. We do not collect any information from you when you browse it.
3. How we use your information
We use this information to operate and improve the job board, to review and act on reported listings, to generate and deliver your Job Alignment Reports, to manage your monthly free report and any paid usage, to process purchases, to keep the Site secure and prevent abuse, and to comply with our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
4. How we use AI (and what we will not do)
Job Alignment Reports are generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence. To create your report, the information needed for it (including your resume content and the job details you submit) is sent to our AI provider, OpenAI, through its business API, solely to generate your requested report and for no other purpose.
Our commitments:
- We do not use your personal information to train AI models.
- Our AI provider (OpenAI) states that, by default, it does not use data submitted through its business API to train its models.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
AI-generated reports may contain errors and are meant to inform your own decisions. See the Terms of Service for the full disclaimer.
5. Our legal basis (Jamaica Data Protection Act, 2020)
We process information on these bases: performance of a contract (to deliver the Job Alignment Reports and paid usage you request); your consent (for example, when you submit a report or request a Job Alignment Report); our legitimate interests (to run, secure, and improve the Site); and legal obligation (where the law requires it).
6. Who we share information with
We share information only with trusted providers that help us run the Site, each bound by confidentiality obligations and permitted to use it only to provide their service to us:

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, in which case we will notify you.
7. International data transfers
Our providers may store or process information on servers located outside Jamaica, including in the United States. Where information is transferred across borders, we take steps intended to keep it protected consistent with this policy and applicable law.
8. How long we keep information
We keep reported-listing information for as long as needed to review and act on it. Job Alignment Reports and related usage records are kept so you can continue to access your reports and so we can administer your monthly free allowance and purchases; you can ask us to delete a report at any time. Purchase records are kept as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes. Basic technical and analytics logs are kept for a limited period. To request deletion, contact [email protected].
9. Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect information, including access controls on our database and secure delivery of your reports. No system is completely secure, so please keep any private report link confidential.
10. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To make a request, contact [email protected]. If you are in Jamaica and believe we have mishandled your information, you may contact the Office of the Information Commissioner (oic.gov.jm). If you are in the EU, UK, or California, additional rights may apply; contact us and we will honor the rights that apply to you.
11. Cookies and analytics
The Site uses essential cookies needed to make it work, and analytics cookies through Google Analytics, a service provided by Google. Google Analytics collects information such as your IP address, device and browser details, and how you use the Site, and it uses cookies and similar technologies to do so. This helps us understand traffic and improve the Site. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
12. Children
The Site is intended for adults seeking career opportunities and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, post a notice on the Site. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
